STUDIO OWNER/HEAD COACH

Ray Ely

Ray started dancing in 1999 and coaching in 2003. Raised in Dallas, graduated from Dallas High School, and College of Hair Design in 2006. Took hip hop, ballet, and jazz as a kid, joined competitive dance freshman year.

After serving as an assistant coach after high school and transitioning to head coach for the Dragon Fire Dancers in 2006. In 2012 we took our first State title with a hip hop routine “Not Afraid”. After 14 years, I resigned from DHS in December 2016 to embark on a new endeavor. In January 2017, Xtreme Dance Company was born, marking the start of my fresh business venture.

I am absolutely ecstatic to witness the success of Xtreme Dance Company! The support and love from our community have been overwhelming, and I am eager to keep serving Dallas to the best of our abilities.

JUNIOR ASSISTANT COACH

LJ Johnston

I grew up in Dallas, Oregon, I am 15 years old and a freshman in high school. I have been dancing since I was about 9 years old, and I fell in love with it. I started rec classes at the studio in 2018 and then shortly joined their Elite team. I am so excited to be teaching this year and getting this great experience.

I love working with kids and showing them how much fun dance is, I want to show them how creative and yourself you can be in a safe and friendly environment.  The studio has an amazing program, and I am so happy to be coaching such hard working and incredible dancers this 2024-2025 year.

LJ has been a huge positive influence on all our dancers. She knows how to really light up the dance floor with her performance and facials. Her favorite styles are hip hop, jazz and funk. We are very excited for her to be apart of our coaching staff this coming season.
